ALPHATHETA LAUNCHES DJM-V5
A compact 3-channel mixer built for creative DJs.
AlphaTheta has announced the DJM-V5, a compact 3-channel mixer designed to deliver the sound design and workflow of the DJM-V10 in a smaller, more flexible format.
Inspired by the DJM-V10, the DJM-V5 keeps the same creative focus while reducing the footprint by around 30 percent, making it better suited to tighter booths and mobile setups.
Each channel features a 4-band EQ, compressor, filter and Send FX, with 96kHz / 64-bit DSP processing designed to maintain clarity even during layered mixes.
Six onboard Send FX, including reverb, delay and tape echo, give DJs hands-on control over texture, while three filter modes per channel allow for both subtle shaping and more dramatic transitions.
A key addition is SonicLink, AlphaTheta’s ultra-low-latency wireless monitoring technology. Built directly into the mixer, it allows DJs to pair compatible headphones and monitor wirelessly, reducing cable clutter in the booth.
With USB-C support for rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro, mobile device connectivity and long-throw faders borrowed from the DJM-V10-LF, the DJM-V5 positions itself as a serious creative mixer in a more compact form.
